New York City is the best art school in the world. Most kids never get inside it. Artclub Artclub fixes that.
We go to working artists' studios. Not to watch a demonstration, but to see what it actually looks like to have a creative life. We study graffiti not as vandalism but as the history it is. We stand in front of buildings and talk about who built them, who tore them down, and what that says about the city we're living in.
Between sessions, kids make things. Ugly things, sometimes. Strange things. Things that don't have a name yet.
We're not here to make little artists. We're here to make kids who look at the world and think: I could do something with this.
